Looks simple. Does a lot.

Pre-check, generation, reports, manual edits and version management, all in one tool.

Why is building a school schedule so hard?

Teacher availability

Teacher availability shifts constantly. Tracking it by hand simply doesn't scale.

Class density

Daily load must stay balanced across classes — pile-ups hurt learning.

Room conflicts

Two lessons can't share a room. Category and capacity must be respected.

Block lessons

Doubles shouldn't be split or scattered across days.

Back-to-back lessons

Some pairs shouldn't sit next to each other; others must.

Manual edits

Hand-picked fixes shouldn't vanish on the next generation.

Atlas turns this chaos into rules.

Calm screens, deep workflow.

Pre-check: catch problems before generating

Atlas catches impossible teacher loads, insufficient rooms and rule conflicts before any solving starts.

  • Reports impossible teacher loads.
  • Surfaces insufficient room categories.
  • Lists hard-constraint conflicts.

Rule engine

It respects your school's real rules.

Hard rules are enforced. Preferences are weighed by priority.

  • Teacher unavailable on Friday
  • Class can't run during morning study
  • Place this lesson as a double block
  • Don't pile Math into one day
  • PE shouldn't follow Math
  • Honor classroom preferences
  • Pin this lesson to a fixed slot
  • Keep one free day for this teacher
  • Minimize building transitions

Non-negotiable

12 rules

These hold in every case. If one cannot, Atlas does not hand you that timetable and names what stood in the way.

Preference

18 rules

You set the priority. Atlas weighs them together, then explains the result one by one.

30 rule types

All in the one package. None of them an add-on.

Manual control

After generation, you stay in control.

Once Atlas builds the schedule, you lock, move and tweak as needed. Your decisions survive the next run.

Lock specific cells

Pin lessons that must stay put — future generations respect your choice.

Drag and drop to move

Pick up a lesson and drop it into a new slot. Conflicts surface immediately.

Edit preview

See exactly which manual edits will apply to the next version before approving.

Compare versions

Inspect cell-by-cell differences between two timetables.

Manage the published timetable

Publish an approved version in one click; roll back when needed.

Email it to teachers

Send the finished timetable to teachers in one click, so everyone sees their own schedule right away.

Duty roster

The timetable is done. The duty roster lives here too.

A duty roster is an extension of the timetable. Atlas reads how many lessons a teacher has that day, applies your rules and builds the week. There is no separate file and no separate spreadsheet to keep.

Duty posts

You define posts such as the entrance, the yard or the canteen. Each one covers the whole day or a set range of hours.

Teacher rules

You decide which teachers are on the rota. A teacher marked exempt is never given a duty, automatically or by hand.

Weekly and daily caps

You can limit how many duties a teacher takes in a week, and how many on the same day.

Even distribution

Duties are spread evenly across teachers, and earlier rosters can be taken into account.

Manual editing

You can drag a name to another day or swap two teachers. If an edit breaks a rule, you are warned before it is saved.

Publishing and output

A published roster cannot be changed, so the copy on the wall and the copy in Atlas stay the same. Print it or export it whenever you need to.

Reports

Not just a timetable — analysis too.

Decision support for managers; transparency for teachers and classes.

Room utilization

Which rooms are used and which sit empty — and when?

Teacher load

Weekly load and gap distribution for every teacher.

Class density

Daily and weekly density of each class — surfaced visually.

Preference satisfaction

How well your defined preferences were honored, with reasons.

Explainable decisions

Atlas shows the reasoning behind the result, not just the schedule. You see why a preference was relaxed and which constraint took priority.

Version comparison

A report on what shifted between two timetables.
