Terms of Service

Conditions for using the Atlas Timetable service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the agreement between OKULUMNET ("Atlas", "we") and the individual or organisation ("Customer", "you") using the Atlas Timetable service ("Service"). By registering for or using the Service, you accept these Terms.

1. Description of the Service

Atlas Timetable is a web-based software service that helps schools create and manage class timetables. The Service includes features such as teacher, class and classroom definitions, scheduling rules, timetable generation, reporting and version management.

Atlas may improve, add or modify features over time. Material changes will be announced in advance.

2. Account and Access

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy and currency of the information you provide at registration.

The security of your account credentials is your responsibility. The Customer is responsible for all activity performed through its account. If you notice suspicious activity, notify Atlas immediately.

Atlas reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, violate applicable law or harm the integrity of the Service.

3. Trial Period and Fees

New registrations receive a 7-day free trial. No card details are required and nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends.

During the trial the whole of Atlas is available for setting up, generating and editing timetables. Export, printing and sending timetables to teachers by email unlock with the annual licence.

After the trial, paid use takes the form of an annual licence per school. The current price is shown on the pricing page and is set by your billing country. Atlas is a single licence; there are no plan tiers and no add-on modules.

Fees are billed in advance. For renewal periods Atlas may update the price with prior notice; the fee for a period already paid does not change within that period. The rules on refunds are set out in the Refund Policy. [Pending legal review: this clause previously read "paid fees are non-refundable"; the final wording, consistent with the Refund Policy, must be settled by legal review.]

4. Subscription, Payment and Renewal

The annual licence is bought through the payment service providers Atlas works with. For schools outside Türkiye, card details are entered on the payment service provider's secure payment page and are never passed to Atlas. For schools in Türkiye, card details are entered in the payment form on Atlas's Licence page and are sent over an encrypted connection to our payment service provider solely to make that payment; the payment is confirmed by your card-issuing bank's 3D Secure verification. Atlas never records or stores the card number, expiry date or security code.

For schools outside Türkiye, the licence is an annual subscription that renews automatically every year until it is cancelled. For these purchases the seller (Merchant of Record) is our payment service provider: it takes the payment, issues the invoice and handles tax. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Licence page in Atlas; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. If a renewal payment fails, it is retried; meanwhile you can keep using the Service for 14 days.

Schools in Türkiye buy the licence for a one-year period with a one-time payment; it does not renew by itself. From 30 days before the period ends you can pay for the next year from the Licence page; the new period starts the day the current one ends.

[Pending legal review: whether naming the seller (Merchant of Record) and the payment service providers in this text is required by contract or by law.]

The rules for cancellation, refunds and payment disputes are set out in the Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

When using the Service you agree NOT to:

  • Reverse-engineer, copy or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Direct automated traffic, load-testing or malicious software at Atlas's infrastructure.
  • Upload content that infringes third-party rights or is unlawful or harmful.
  • Resell or commercially redistribute the Service to third parties without Atlas's written consent.

6. Customer Data and Ownership

All data you upload to the Service — teacher lists, class and classroom information, timetables, institutional rules and similar — is your property.

Atlas processes this data solely to provide the Service, on your behalf. We do not use it for marketing, nor sell or rent it to third parties.

You can export, delete or close your account at any time. See the Privacy Policy for details.

7. Intellectual Property

The software, design, graphics, documentation and "Atlas Timetable" trademark of the Service are owned by OKULUMNET. These Terms grant you only a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service.

Ownership of Customer data remains with the Customer; however, OKULUMNET has the right to process that data to the extent necessary to operate the Service.

8. Service Availability and Continuity

Atlas makes commercially reasonable efforts to provide the Service continuously and without errors. Planned or unplanned temporary outages may occur due to maintenance, updates or technical reasons.

Your data is backed up regularly. In a data-loss scenario Atlas commits to making reasonable efforts to restore it, but cannot guarantee that backups will be 100% successful.

For a formal Service Level Agreement (SLA), please contact our enterprise sales team.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Atlas is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages (including lost profits, lost data or business interruption).
  • For direct damages, Atlas's total liability under this agreement shall not exceed the Service fees actually paid by the Customer in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.

These limitations do not apply in cases of Atlas's gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

10. Termination

The Customer may terminate its account and subscription at any time.

Atlas may suspend or terminate the Service after giving the Customer reasonable notice in case of a material breach of these Terms, or immediately if the nature of the breach so requires.

Upon termination, the Customer has the right to export its data within 30 days. After that period, the data is permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

11. Changes

Atlas may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be sent to your registered email address and announced in the application.

Continuing to use the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not accept the new Terms, you may terminate your subscription.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The Kayseri Courts and Enforcement Offices shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from or related to these Terms.

For consumer Customers, the jurisdiction provisions of applicable consumer-protection law are reserved.
